Cheery Grilled Lemon-Garlic Baby Broccoli

Grilled Baby Broccoli


  • 1 pound baby broccoli (also known as broccolini)
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to your spice preference)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)


  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat—let's get that grill sizzling!

  2. Rinse and pat dry 1 pound of baby broccoli. Trim 1/2 inch from the bottom of the stems.

  3. In a small bowl, mix 2 Tbs olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper.

  4. Toss the baby broccoli in the marinade, making sure it's all dressed up in deliciousness. Let it marinate for 10 minutes or more!

  5. Grill the baby broccoli for 3-4 minutes on each side until it's got a light char and is tender-crisp.

  6. Transfer baby broccoli to a platter. Want more excitement? Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.

  7. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
