Simple Tossed Green Salad

This simple tossed green salad takes only a few staple ingredients and 15 minutes to *toss* together! Enjoy alongside an entree or transform into a hearty main dish by adding your favorite grilled protein like steak, chicken or shrimp.


  • 6 ounces loosely packed mixed greens
  • 2 tablespoons shelled sunflower seeds (optional)
  • ¼ red onion - thinly sliced
  • 1 cucumber - peeled and thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil


  1. Combine dressing ingredients in a jar, cover and shake vigorously to combine.
  2. In a large bowl combine mixed greens, sunflower seeds (if using), red onions, cucumbers.
  3. Just before serving add dressing to taste and toss to combine. Serve immediately after tossing with dressing.
