Oven-Baked Fries

  • 4-5 gold potatoes
  • 2-3 Tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Wash potatoes leaving skin on, then cut into 1/2" thick spears.
  3. Let potatoes soak in cold water in the sink or in a bowl for at least 30 minutes. Remove from water and dry very well. Don't skip this step!
  4. Toss with oil and seasonings. Spread evenly in a single layer on a parchment-lined sheet pan.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, turning halfway through. Serve hot!
